The White Sea is serene, cold, and beautiful.

There were lovely forests along the shore. But, there were also fancy hotels and apartment buildings. Just like Miami. Well, not quite….
On my 79th Birthday, September 10, I came north in Russia to walk along the White Sea in Archangelsk…. The name commemorates the Archangel Michael. Who better to ring in my 80th year? It was a gorgeous, warm day, and my friend Karina from my Hostel Troika, suggested we take a walk along the White Sea Beach.

Karina took the shots …..

….and, so did I!

Then, we had a great dinner at the Hostel Troika in Archangelsk.

More of my Russian Family in the Troika Hostel.

My Archangelsk Friends are bright, warm, and beautiful. And, I miss them already!

And so, I can truly say that it’s perfectly safe and highly-recommended to walk into unknown forests and seascapes with brand-new friends, you simply haven’t met yet. AT ANY AGE!!!!
