I’ve been “Home” for two weeks now. After flying all night from Waikiki Beach, Honolulu, Hawaii; my daughter, Jennifer, met me at the Denver airport and took me to their lovely suburban home in Golden, Colorado. .>
Jet lag, including the seven-hour flight between Hanoi, Vietnam, and Hawaii, can certainly set one back in time and energy! I’ve had the luxury to come slowly back to the future. And literally, now, having to figure out what to do next. The family, my daughter and son-in-law Jennifer & Kevin; grandkids, Riley and Molly, have given me a grand welcome back to The States.
First things first… I got caught up in the urgent need to design a Halloween Costume for Soda, our huge Golden Retriever; because he needed something to wear for Ellich Gardens’ Halloween Carnival parade next Saturday.
Molly has decided upon the theme of James and The Giant Peach! Guess who gets to be the Peach!
Meantime, we are catching up on my three-year
trip around the world and I’m getting used to a grandson in college and a high school senior, granddaughter. Next, I will fly to Florida for more reunions with family and friends.
Coming Home is great!
