I Blew Into The UK On Arctic Blast Winds! And Still, I’ve Traveled North To Edinburgh, Scotland

Before leaving Northern England, I stayed at another Pub B&B, The Shoe, dedicated for the fancy stiletto high heel.

Four days ago, I took the bullet train across the Scottish border to Edinburgh and am now staying in the St Christopher’s Hostel right across the street from the railroad station in the center of town. I’ve enjoyed some sunny days when I wandered about the city or took a bus excursion to see the famous Loch Lomand and Stirling Castle to learn more about Scottish history. Both sides of this border are filled with stories of wars and atrocities between the Scots and the Brits. But, I feel no traces of that nowadays. The only chill noticeable now is in the blustery wintry weather this Spring is coming in on. I’m still bundling up in my woolens. These horse sculptures are called The Kelpies, mythical Beings who take any shape they want when they emerge from the water they live in. The men are metal and the horses silver…..

Can you believe that anyone could fight in this getup? More metal men! Stirling Castle once ruled the region protecting the Scottish from the British. But, both England and Scotland run their buses and trains on time! At one time in the Medieval past, the residents thought this was at The End of The World…. an opinion shared by other humans in other cities all over the globe. Well, I’d think that too, if I were walking or riding a horse to get anywhere else.

But, as any Minecrafter can tell you, it’s simply a matter of Mind Over Matter! I don’t “mined” that at all. Right, Riley
