You’d Better Belize It! Life In The Jungles Of Belize!
March 23, 2016 by admin
For almost a week. I’ve been a guest at the Jungle Lodge Inn, the Technical Education Center, TEC, connected to the Belize Zoo, “The best little zoo south of the United States!” Many professional scientists pass through here, as well as University student groups of future Marine Biologists or Environmentalists of all types. Due to an unseasonable rainy spell, the jungle is cooler now than it usually is and I’m really enjoying myself among the many birds and wild creatures that surround me. But first, here are some civilized creatures from my beach life.
Bill & Lynn, from South Carolina, next door neighbors on Ambergris Caye, Belize.

The Keel-Billed Toucan is Belize’s National Bird. All of the animals in this Zoo are rescued or injured, or former pets; which can’t survive in the wild.
