Mexico Will Soon Be In My Rear-View Mirror!

In three weeks, I’ll be arriving in the small country of Belize, which borders Mexico’s southern border and sits right beside Guatemala. I have loved my long three-and-a-half month visit in San Miguel de Allende, and truly feel like a resident Expat, because most of that time has been spent living in a lovely apartment within a gated community, right in town. The best of both worlds, alright! I have been testing a brand-new camera, so I can now show the beauty that surrounds me in this gorgeous town.
This is the Central Jardin (Garden) and the lovely Cathedral (Parroquia) which overlooks all and chimes the city with its regular bell concerts. The town is easy to walk around in, except that all the streets are full of cobblestones, so you must be careful not to trip. The stones in this picture are large and flat, but others are the genuine, rounded river rocks.
The redhead is my friend, Judit, from Montreal, and a fellow expat, having lunch at the Biblioteca, the big and beautiful library where we all gather, eventually. The street shot will show how brilliant the colors are on the perpetually-sunny days. Somewhere in town is an old bull ring, but this fine brass boy is the only one I’ve seen in Mexico.
